    BUYER BEWARE!

    After purchasing, driving away and immediately identifying a number of problems on my BMW including the bonnet almost opening up whilst driving home they agreed to cover the cost of some minor issues back at my local garage (the car should never of left with these faults in the first place) and eventually compensated me £80 towards this but I was left to cover additional cost of 2 tyres (not sealed at rims), replacement car battery (which I also reported flat to be told it was because car had been stood even though I had the battery tested and subsequently proved faulty with report) and air conditioning re-gas. I'd given them every opportunity to rectify but have since been fobbed off. Quite frankly, the worst motor trader experience I've ever dealt with and would not recommend.

    We are disappointed to hear your new car experience wasn't up to the satisfaction level we endeavour to strive for and sincerely apologise for that. Our understanding was that the minor issues which needed rectifying were fully compensated by ourselves and you used a local garage to save further inconvenience of having to return to the dealership. The vehicle, like all our vehicle's, was mechanically inspected and prepared for sale in a sound capacity and we believe in line with an 8 year old vehicle which had completed 93000 miles. With regard to the battery issue, we carry out a battery test on every vehicle we sell and if any battery fails we replace it as part of our standards. You had owned the vehicle and been driving the car for 2 months before this issue occurred. This could be related to adverse weather conditions or minimal use and hope that most people could appreciate we would not be responsible for the item.

    Friendly, professional and knowledgable

    Having just purchased a car from Mercia Motors, I highly recommend their friendly, professional and diligent service. From making the enquiry from seeing the car on their website, to arranging a test drive and arranging for the payment, they were responsive and meticulous with the presentation and servicing of the car and the associated paperwork. I am really happy with the car I have purchased and feel I paid a fair price for the car and the service I received.

    Very Good Experience

    I travelled a long way to pick up my 7 Series BMW from Mercia Motors, from Somerset to Bath. A long journey to be disappointed. Did the deal in all but final decision over the phone, so was reliant on a clear and factual appraisal of the vehicle I was coming to see/purchase. I dealt with Oliver, who was friendly, professional and easy to get along with. He described my car over the phone exactly as was, so no disappointments for me on arrival. No pressure sales (would have been a game changer for me). Went home with my new car and thus far delighted with the purchase. I would recommend Mercia Motors and as a frequent car changer, I would certainly consider using them again.

    Easy to talk with but brutally honest

    PART ONE Easy to talk with but brutally honest, Mercia Motors in Sheffield were a pleasure to deal with. Despite living 35 miles west of London running a busy Emergency Courier Company, I decided to travel up to Sheffield based partly on how Mercia Motors present their cars but mostly because of their honesty. Why. Because I can’t have my time wasted. The process of dealing with the team at Mercia was straight forward and simple. In fact, one of the only car companies to respond to a text message enquiry (Sunday night) to discuss the vehicle. Arriving at Mercia Motors from London’s Kings Cross St Pancras Station, not only was I made to feel immediately welcome, I was literally told to take my time looking over the vehicle. Admittedly, I had my doubts about the vehicle initially because Continued....

    Exceptional Dealership

    I've just purchased a used BMW from Mercia Motors and - when the time comes to buy another vehicle - I'll be coming back here again. The level of service was exceptional (not always my experience when buying used cars from dealers) and I felt complete confidence in the transaction at every stage; the car had been thoroughly checked and prepared and the 'salesman' who looked after us could not have been more helpful or professional.     Excellent Customer Service

    We had arranged to have a look at a car during what could only be described as "monsoon season". However, the car had thoughtfully been moved underneath the entrance canopy to allow us to have a thorough look round at leisure in the dry. This set the scene for our whole purchasing experience - the staff being very friendly and accommodating throughout. When we came back to pick up the car we travelled by train and the showroom is very conveniently situated just a couple of minutes walk from the Railway Station (although we were told that if the weather was still bad, to give a quick ring and we'd be picked up!). Despite living 70 miles away, we'd be happy to recommend Mercia Motors to friends and family because, in our case, the journey was certainly worth it!

    My wife and I have just purchased a BMW 3 series coupe and we could not fault the service and help provided. From viewing to purchasing, the staff were extremely helpful. On picking up the car, we had discovered a minor clerical error in the paper work but this was resolved in a very considered and gracious manner. The car itself was well presented and paper work was handled efficiently. Overall, the staff were never pushy and made the process of buying a car, which we often consider to be an onerous task, to be a very enjoyable experience. We certainly recommend this garage.
