Meet our team

Greg has been in the motor trade all his working life since graduating from Liverpool University 20 years ago. He progressed from a sales executive to general sales manager within 6 years of employment with a large PLC before setting up his own business in 2007. He then established Mercia Motors in November 2011. Greg enjoys playing tennis for his local team who are actually based across the road from our showroom as his main past time

Before joining the Mercia Motors team she was a senior nursery nurse at a local nursery. After 7 years she decided she needed a new and exciting challenge. She has been with us since 2014 and has become an irreplaceable member of staff and deals with all parts of the business to ensure everything runs smoothly. In her spare time she enjoys socialising with friends and family fun days out.

Dave has been in the motor trade for over 40 years and has worked in Mercia’s service department for the last 10 years bringing a vast and extremely valuable amount of experience with him. His dedicated and hard working approach is a real credit to him. In his past roles he has spent 14 years at Gilders which included being a sales controller and sales manager. In his spare time Dave has a passion for motor sports and football.

Wayne has been with us at Mercia Motors not long after we opened over 11 years ago and is a genuine, loyal and very key member of the team. He is a pleasure to work with and always has a smile on his face. Wayne is vital in making sure vehicles are professionally valeted to the highest standard possible. In his spare time Wayne enjoys playing snooker for his local team and spending quality time with family and friends.

Jenni brings a wealth of knowledge and experience within the motor trade spanning over 20 years. Jenni’s roles have varied from car auction management through to prestige main dealer business development. She is excited to make a difference by building new relationships and collaboration with local businesses and, in addition, promoting and marketing the great services Mercia offers, via social media, referrals and networking. Personally, Jenni loves a good work out at the gym, spending quality time with friends and family which may involve the odd glass of Sauvignon Blanc!

Ryan has joined the team in a period of expansion. Ryan is fully qualified having previously successfully passed Toyota’s advanced customer consultant course at their academy. He is extremely passionate about our customers receiving the best possible experience which shines through with his calm and caring personality. He played for Norwich City football club as a junior and is also a level 9 football referee. In his spare time he enjoys tinkering with his pride and joy, a Nissan 350Z.

Pete is a great team player and asset to our independent business. Originally employed to work within the valeting department, he has trained hard to learn new skills and pushed his personal development within the workshop. In his leisure time, he spends time with his gorgeous grandchildren and takes regular visits to the local pub

Dan brings with him a vast experience covering 30 years, having been based at Mercia 2, Meadowhead for 20 years. He specialises in diagnostic checks and fault finding. His investigation skills are outstanding, he’s our real ‘go to’ guy.

In his spare time Dan enjoys reading and running marathons. He even fixes cars on his days off he loves them so much!!

Jamie has 20 years experience, 19 years of that time has been spent at Mercia 2, Meadowhead. He has also been an MOT tester for 6 years.

He’s a strong team member who is keen to help out in many areas of the service department. Jamie specialises in clutches, timing chains/belts, suspension and brakes.

Out of work he spends his time travelling with his girls to dancing festivals and staying in his family caravan in Skegness.

We are very lucky to have such an experienced technician on our team. He has been working in the industry for over 34 years, working at Mercia 2, Meadowhead for 33 years and has been an MOT tester in Sheffield for 20 years.

He’s a lively team member who is a general all-rounder, repairing suspension components, cambelts and in depth engine repairs; he can even weld!!

Rob loves socialising and drinking, he does the odd piece of woodwork and can tell great jokes (although some may need to be censored!!)

Brooklyn joined us in late 2023 as our new Bosch apprentice Technician. He is keen to learn the trade to the highest standard and is improving everyday he is here with us. He loves going to the Gym in his free time and going out with friends at the weekend.
